Consultation meetings were held among civil society organizations (CSOs) last June 15 and 22 in Well Hotel, Cebu City. The meetings were called out to discuss areas of cooperation during pre and post disasters.  CSOs are mostly reliable on their services including different trainings and workshops related to disaster risk reduction like Disaster Management Orientation, Community-Based Disaster Management, Psychosocial and Sustainable Agriculture. In addition, they are experts in community organizing during relief operations and gathering of data. Sourcing of resources is mostly through solicitations from private sectors, writing proposals to funding agencies and tapping of local government units. They are united to collaborate with other stakeholders to deliver efficient disaster response. As a sign of their commitment, they have all agreed to come up with a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with A-PAD since they have similar services and programs pertaining to DRR.
