The A-PAD Management Office conducted a staff training program in Tokyo, Japan from November 30 to December 3, 2015. Staff from the A-PAD platforms in Japan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea and Sri Lanka shared best DRR practices from each country and exchanged ideas on how to develop A-PAD towards achieving its DRR objectives.

The participants went on a field visit in Tokyo Rinkai Disaster Prevention Park. They experienced a 72 hour earthquake simulation and learned about disaster survival and Japan’s disaster management and response system.
